Christmas at Nana's

Later that day we headed to Nana's to celebrate with her, Aunt Brit & Justin and Aunt Ashley, Andrew & Violet. It is always a wonderful time watching the kids play together and we all had a great time! We enjoyed appetizers and holiday candy all made by Nana. Then it was time for presents and games.

I love this picture of Ethan "reading" the back of his new "Bolt" movie...

Olivia opening her Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen (from "the Princess and the Frog")...

They absolutely loved the "Santa Buddies" movie that came with all five buddies!!!

And we played Twister after everyone left...

Christmas at Papa and Grammy's house

After a bit of playing it's off to Papa and Grammy's house. It is always a fun filled day there with lots of people, presents, games, and laughter! We enjoy a beautiful, delicious brunch feast prepared by Papa and Grammy followed by a slightly chaotic time of wrapping paper flying. Uncle Shaz, the head elf, directs the gift passing out process. Olivia and Ethan got year passes to the Children's Museum and the Zoo! Also, scooters - a Spiderman one for Ethan and a pink Razor for Liv. Also, a set of swords and shields and the game Twister, which you will see in a later post :)

In additon to gifts and food, there was some wrestling...

the infamous grab bag!!!...

cleaning up...

a game of Pictionary (at which Scott, me, Andrea & Schaz kicked butt!)...

Rob's famous calendar...

and LOTS of laughs...

Christmas Morning at Home

The kids woke up bright and early as usual, just brimming with excitment and anticipation for the day! They always open their stockings first but don't always look at what is in them until a while later.

Ethan quickly noticed a large present for him...his first bike!!

Olivia was so excited for her new baby stuff! Santa is so great to bring her just what she wanted.

Olivia also got a new Barbie movie, a Barbie and puppy set, and a pink Barbie helmet and bell for her bike.

Ethan was thrilled with his new Imaginext dragon tower and Power Rangers. i don't think he was too excited about his new helmet...too bad.

Poor Ethan just realized Santa came and that he never saw him...

Then getting right to work playing...

Christmas Eve - Just us

Christmas eve night is always a very low key night at home for us. We spend the day very busy, as you can see from the previous post, and need time just to ourselves before another busy day ensues. Olivia and Ethan wanted to leave a little note and picture for Santa. Ethan diligently writing away...

We also checked the computer often to monitor Santa's whereabouts...

After getting the carrots, cookies, and pop (he needs the caffeine to keep going) out for Santa, it was time to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
