Valentine's Day

So much love. Olivia loves holidays. From Mommy and Daddy the lovebugs got stickers, a coloring book, and candy. Olivia wanted to dress up for her school Valentine's Day party and looked so adorable. Her hair is just beautiful - so long, so straight, and such a gorgeous color - I just had to take a picture of it. Ethan looked so handsome in his red polo. From the picture of the three of us, you can see why I am rarely in pictures - the two of them just can't seem to smile when I'm not behind the camera. Would be nice to have a good picture of all of us but that is virtually impossible at these ages. Olivia still has a very red nose in these pictures.

What a Wednesday!

Tuesday was a spectacular day of warm temps, thawing snow, and smiles everywhere you looked! After no January thaw, the 60 degree temperature was a complete blessing. On Wednesday, Scott stayed home due to the steady rainfall and we had a fun day. Olivia and Ethan had received Valentine's Day cards from Sasha (my Aunt Cheryl). She had written them amazing letters that Scott and I love to read just as much as the kids love to listen to them. They are truly "keepers" and will go into their scrapbooks. Sasha had also enclosed gift certificates for Target! The kids were so thrilled because we were just there the other day and they were eyeing a few toys. So we all went to Target (the kids brought their gift cards and some money from their piggy banks) and the kids picked out a new toy. Olivia chose a stuffed animal (a pink poodle) that came with a puppy coat and carrying case and Ethan bought his "new computer." They both are so exciteed! Ethan won't go anywhere without that computer.

So after Target we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Here are some pictures of the kids with their favorite things to do there and one thing Ethan discovered he doesn't like so much...

So long January

Happy days are here again! After 3 weeks of sickness, including stomach flu and strep throat, we are all feeling much better now. Sweet Olivia has had the worst of it and just recently her nose is starting to clear up a bit. Here is a picture of sicker days...

One day when the kids were still kind of sick, they made their way to our 3 season porch (brrr) and took a ride on Bubbles the horse.

After so many days inside, we ventured out this weekend and went sledding at Nana's. The kids were so adventurous and daring! We had a blast! Check out Scott "snowboarding" on a sled.
